Universal Law

This is a very brief post.

It will be expanded upon soon.

There is no law of failure, no want, no poverty no lack or limitation.

What does it take?

How do I live the perfect life?
Or probably a better question might be 'what do I need to do in order to live the perfect life?"
The answer is simple - but not easy.
All it takes is a decision.
How you arrive at that decision will be revealed [in part], over the next few posts.
Comments and suggestions are welcomed.

Creating change

I learned some valuable lessons a couple of days ago.
Maybe they fit into the category of insights, or ideas or even concepts.
But worth trying these ideas out.
From my NLP days it was:" In oder for things to change, first I must change." And from my Aha Coaching, my mantra has been; "through clarity comes change." In other words; once I am absolutely certain what it is that I want, then I can begin the process of making changes where necessary in order to realise my goal.
In the intervening years, not much has changed.Life has been pretty good, but it can always be better - right?
So here's the 'new' [for me], idea.
"Let go of wanting things to change for change to occur."
Change cannot come until I no longer want change. Now that's something to get my head around! Love where you are right now. See everything in a new light; and be grateful for it. Realise I have everything and want nothing. THEN change occurs.
Live in appreciation and gratitude and love. Discover how much love there is [in me] and how unlimited I really am. And by occupying this space [ of love], and not complaining about anything or anyone, I may just begin to change and others around me will change as well.
Without me having or wanting to to fix anything or anyone.
There's a lot more to 'it' than that, but it's a great place to start. I'll let you know how I get on.

The Perfect Life

I wonder what that might be? Of course we all have our own ideas as to what perfect really is. A perfect job. A perfect wife. A perfect house, car and so on. But a life? Does it encompass all of the above? And perhaps there's more - like perfect health. And what's perfect for you, may not be perfect to others. There are those who aspire to a rather austere lifestyle - and spend their time away from the temptations and delights of our secular way of being. It might be a religious calling - or a non relgious calling - free of dogma that is attached to a 'brand' of faith. Perhaps just faith of itself. Immersed in God's word and trusting Him for their daily needs. Parties and the wild life are not for them! What would it be like if all conflict was eliminated? No more arguments. Just peace and tranquility. For most, if not all of us - that scenario is just not possible. Probably for no other reason than that it has never been experienced. But what if it, [perfect peace and harmony], could be achieved? Could that resemble what a perfect life might be like? Like the 10,000 star fish story [ask if you don't know it]; we can aspire to peace and goodwill and no conflict; by choosing to be peaceful and non - conflicting ourselves. The world, and your life, might change for the better. And we do it one person at a time.

2017 and new beginnings

Out with the old and in with the new. In numerology, 2017 is a 1 year. The beginning of a 9 year cycle. And thus the end of 2016 heralded the ending of a cycle. Donald Trump's election to President of the U.S.A. would suggest that here we have a new cycle - just beginning. In fact he appears to be throwing accepted political norms out of the window. And, so, we could revert to New Year's resolutions. Do you even bother with what used to be a regular tradition? Have you set some goals, perhaps a new direction and something to aspire to; or are you just blindly living one day at a time? What would it look and feel like to be living a life on purpose, with a clearly defined destination ahead of you? Something to strive for. Some thing you can measure, each small step along the way taking you closer to your dream. We all have it within us to achieve what is seemingly impossible. How would it be if you manifested the impossible by a factor of 10 or even more? Dare to dream. Dare to create a major focus. Dare to put a plan in place. And dare to act upon that plan every day. I intend to develop this theme in more detail and for now why not brainstorm with a pen and paper and just let ideas flow. No editing, just write everything down as it comes to you. Email me with what you come up with - or not, as the case may be. Let's create some magic together!

Plans and goals and pitfalls

I got thinking this morning about planning ahead in order to establish a 'get out' point. This has much to do with those of us who have forsaken the life of an employed person and taken the entrepreneurial path. We have a few dollars put away that we believe will cover expenses of day to day living and give us time to get our enterprise reasonably well established. How often does that dream 'fall flat?' We have longed for the day when we can say goodbye to the boss, the 'hated' job and at last be "free." The truth often is that "freedom" comes at an enormous cost. There's no regular pay day. All costs are yours, sales [revenue], come much later after the marketing, supply chain, warehousing and so on have to be paid for. If you are in the digital products arena, trust me, those expenses still exist, maybe in a slightly different format. Often you work considerably longer hours than as a paid employee. Here's where I think many budding entrepreneurs really fall over: They do not have an exit strategy [a plan for failing]. There are always signals [some early on] that indicate that the money is starting to run out, but usually there's no "line in the sand" that tells you it is time to quit and go back to the ranks of the employed. More often than not that decision becomes a banker's or accountants decision; liquidation or bankruptcy - or the dole queue! Most people who get trapped like this are usually in the mid to upper regions of pay scales. They do have discretionary money to go into a savings plan [ to be used to fund....a business, a house, holidays, retirement etc]. Over time those savings can be the difference between being truly "free" than the illusion of being self employed. It just takes discipline, forbearance,a little humble pie perhaps to get you there. Of course no job is guaranteed for life - nether is being in business. An example: A colleague [ corporate] had put himself in a position about 10 - 15years out from retirement that enabled him to save a substantial portion of his monthly salary toward his dream life. He subsequently took early retirement and has been travelling around Australia for some years with his 4WD and luxury off road camper. His funds are continuing to earn for him so he has no fear of going broke. He is one very happy man. Other options such as the MLM industry offer promises of that freedom too. Full of acronyms and cute phrases such as job becoming "just over broke"; TV becomes the "electronic income reducer" [time wasted watching could be better put to use prospecting], and so on. There are of course thousands who have prospered as entrepreneurs and MLM success stories, and millions who have failed. Whichever path you decide to take [ or have taken], make sure you have a clear plan or set of goals that are in alignment with your dream life. I suggest you include a "get out" plan as well. The numbers [finances], don't lie. As my boss always used to say, you cannot manage what you can't measure. Even God has a plan!
