Creating change

I learned some valuable lessons a couple of days ago.
Maybe they fit into the category of insights, or ideas or even concepts.
But worth trying these ideas out.
From my NLP days it was:" In oder for things to change, first I must change." And from my Aha Coaching, my mantra has been; "through clarity comes change." In other words; once I am absolutely certain what it is that I want, then I can begin the process of making changes where necessary in order to realise my goal.
In the intervening years, not much has changed.Life has been pretty good, but it can always be better - right?
So here's the 'new' [for me], idea.
"Let go of wanting things to change for change to occur."
Change cannot come until I no longer want change. Now that's something to get my head around! Love where you are right now. See everything in a new light; and be grateful for it. Realise I have everything and want nothing. THEN change occurs.
Live in appreciation and gratitude and love. Discover how much love there is [in me] and how unlimited I really am. And by occupying this space [ of love], and not complaining about anything or anyone, I may just begin to change and others around me will change as well.
Without me having or wanting to to fix anything or anyone.
There's a lot more to 'it' than that, but it's a great place to start. I'll let you know how I get on.

The Perfect Life

I wonder what that might be? Of course we all have our own ideas as to what perfect really is. A perfect job. A perfect wife. A perfect house, car and so on. But a life? Does it encompass all of the above? And perhaps there's more - like perfect health. And what's perfect for you, may not be perfect to others. There are those who aspire to a rather austere lifestyle - and spend their time away from the temptations and delights of our secular way of being. It might be a religious calling - or a non relgious calling - free of dogma that is attached to a 'brand' of faith. Perhaps just faith of itself. Immersed in God's word and trusting Him for their daily needs. Parties and the wild life are not for them! What would it be like if all conflict was eliminated? No more arguments. Just peace and tranquility. For most, if not all of us - that scenario is just not possible. Probably for no other reason than that it has never been experienced. But what if it, [perfect peace and harmony], could be achieved? Could that resemble what a perfect life might be like? Like the 10,000 star fish story [ask if you don't know it]; we can aspire to peace and goodwill and no conflict; by choosing to be peaceful and non - conflicting ourselves. The world, and your life, might change for the better. And we do it one person at a time.
